Re: evo>router>network hard drive...how do i get it done?

I actually started to learn android just so I could do this exact thing!

But how I want to do it, is use ssh to connect through I net to my BSD box at home from anywhere. Then, once in ssh, I can stream over the air my music collection. With 4g, it might be fast enough for video!

Connecting to a PC's share is a whole different animal, too.

I had that same piece of crap. I have a WD NAS now, never tried to connect to it with my evo, though I could with the network pluggin on WM.

Re: evo>router>network hard drive...how do i get it done?

Good news......i was able to connect to the drive, although it was through twonky media server which came installed on the drive....i can so far stream music, video, and photos that are stored on a specific portion of the drive... ....basically "media" only which is ok, but not exactly what i had in mind. So in a nutshell i can stream or save pics, video, or music to my evo from the network drive, but nothing else.......like roms or other file types......
