I guess we should call then

My wife and I both have EVO's.

In the house, it shows the location and weather for Williamsburg, VA. That is about 80 miles north of where we live, in Elizabeth City, NC.

Our phone number associated with the Airave is a NC number, not VA.. completely different area codes.

I guess I will call Airave Tech support to tell them about the location messup.. What do you suggest I tell them..? do they care? if all the GPS on the Airave is for to make sure you use it in the U.S. why should they care?

It also has to do with FCC licensing too. My area was not approved for Airave until a couple of months ago, but, the neighboring zip code that is only for post office boxes (no residential addresses), had it over 1 year ago.. strange..

Re: EVO and Airave?

Is there a monthly fee attached to an Airave or is it just a one time purchase price?

There is supposed to be a 4.99/month charge but you can usually get it waived. I got an Airave the day they came out for free and every month get a loyal customer 4.99 credit to make the Airave free. Other people have been charged for the Airave but not the fee and some get charged both. Like anything with Sprint, just depends who you talk to in customer service. They tried to remove my discount a few months ago, I called, the lady said I was not entitled to it. Which is funny because I had SERO at the time and a 23% corp discount which you are not supposed to have and they didn't touch the corp discount. I hung up, called back and the next guy added it right back on my account.

Re: EVO and Airave?

I just called (866)556-7310, reached a call center in Ft. Worth, Texas. Guy said he never heard of the problem before... Said he updated the zip code and he'd give me a call in an hour to see if that fixed it...
