It's hard for me to complain. I am coming from a phone with a 3.2 megapixel camera, actually both of my last two phones were 3.2. While it isn't the 8.0 it could be (I'm looking at you Evo 4G+ :P) I still love it.
Also...I went fishing the other day and took photos in 3D...they look AMAZING.

idk, even my EVO 4G took crappy pictures in low light. I think they do just fine in bright natural light. My 3D def isnt as good as my 4g was though.

I think my arrive takes pretty good pictures when outdoors or in a well lit area. I also kinda agree with @elesbb on this maybe the 2D/3D setting is messing up the quality in some way.

I know its not a digital camera, but I think you're selling yourself short by saying, "its just a cell phone." I'd accept that if camera phonmes were only a few years old, but they've been around for over 10 years. Its called the HTC Shooter but has a subpar camera. Its not all the time, I have taken some good pics, but the green tint when the flash is used and the over saturation when there's a lot of sunlight is bothersome to me. In my opinion and the opinion of others, the 4g took better pics. The iphone is "just a cell phone" and takes better pics. I'm not asking for it to be an SLR, but at least be on par with the other cell phone camera tech out there. At the very least, don't regress with the newer version of your phone.

Pictures on this phone are great as far as im concerned. The 3D pictures need some work but are freakishly fun to look at. It a cell phone people, you want to take high quality pictures attach a digital camera to it. Yes cellphone camera are nothing new, but how big you want the cellphone to be? The best digital cameras out there need a shoulder strap they are so big. No complaints here sorry.

I like the camera. Then again most people don't buy a phone because of camera. For a smartphone this phone takes great pictures and awesome hd video not to mention great 3d videos. Only problem I have is pictures that have something moving in them suck. Unless there's a setting I'm missing. But overall it's still better than evo4g. I wish htc would just use samsung cameras in their phones.
