Sprint had, not sure if they still have, a few phones that were both CDMA and GSM.

Within the US it operated on CDMA, and if you were outside of the country it operated on a sprint provided SIM card for GSM, and you were locked into pre-negotiated sprint international roaming charges.

Alltel had the 8830 Blackberry World Edition that has both GSM and CDMA. Frankly they should make all phones like this.
