I dont have experience with a Diamond aftermarket battery, but I have experience with aftermarkets for my old phones, digital cameras, etc...

Don't believe the mAH ratings put on the batteries, no matter what they say, aftermarkert RARELY ever live up to the ratings listed. Maybe once or twice, but you will find they will never last as long as your original battery. This doesnt apply if the battery is physically larger.

That is the reason they are so cheap. They are manufactured with inferior quality. And I find that they die about 1/3 faster than the original battery. Which for most people is ok, because they usually are 1/4 the price or less.

That being said I still buy them, but I know not to expect what they claim to be.

I had an extended life battery from Seidio that did EXACTLY as it claimed. I had issues with my stock Mogul battery...purchased one from Seidio, and was able to keep one on charge and one in the phone at all times. The extended life battery was used on longer trips or when I know that I will NOT have a chance to charge my phone for a long period of time. Freed up my outlet in the car to charge my iPod!!

The handful of mugen or seidio extended batteries I've bought always live up to their claims. They aren't exactly "cheap" though. I can't speak for the new Diamond extended slim though.

I bought the Innocell same-size extended battery within a week of its release. It's exactly what it claims to be; about ten percent more battery life. And it hasn't caused any problems at all. And the company is well-established and this certainly isn't "so cheap".

So another +1 to Seidio.

Yeah, $45 is pricey for 10%. I wished they were able to squeeze a bit more into it.
