Diamond Power Cable

Where can I get a replacement power/sync cable for the Diamond? I notice that it is different than standard mini usb cables and am having trouble finding the one that is used on the diamond.

Thanks,

Robert

Re: Diamond Power Cable

standard mini usb cables work just fine.

The extra pin on the extended usb cable that comes with it doesn't really do anything. The pin is there for a head phone connector/fm radio antenna.

Despite that the extended usb doesn't seem to do much for you, I read in another post here that the diamond doesn't receive as much power through standard mini usb cables. Is there no place to buy the extended usb?

Re: Diamond Power Cable

I get 1a when charging with my sony (camera) mini usb cable when plugged in to the wall, and 500ma when plugged in to my laptop. Same as with the original.

How do you find out how many amps you are getting when plugged in?

I use a program that comes preinstalled in Calc's 4.2 ROM. It's called Battery Monitor. If I find it, I'll link it for you.

EDIT: This is not the program that I used, but I think it will also give you the charge information. Here is the link:

Re: Diamond Power Cable

I'm having trouble with my mini-USB car charger. I bought one online that was advertised under "HTC Diamond car charger" and when I got it, the box said it was for Blackberry and Motorola phones. Plugging it straight into the phone won't charge at all, but plugging the adaptor thing into the car charger and then the phone will work...I don't get it.
