Backup network settings

Sorry if it's a dumb question, but after searching the net and this forum for a few hours, I decided it might just be easier to ask my question in here...

After every rom upgrades, I need to manually enter all the network settings on my phone (for browsing). Is there a way to backup those settings?

I know sprite backup is supposed to do it but I would rather have a manual way to do it as I don't have much faith in backup programs. SO if I could just copy a file over or export some registery settings that would be perfect.

So anyone knows where those settings are located?

Thanks everyone!

Re: Backup network settings

if you are talking about your wireless settings, such as wifi accounts or setting your network shared keys or passwords, you can use a great program called Makisu.. it can be found here: http://www.winmo-experts.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3
and if you are looking for a good way to back up all of your programs and pretty much anything else, look for Sashimi, which can be found on the same forums..

Re: Backup network settings

I need to backup everything that is found under start-settings-connection tab - connection - manage existing connection - edit (which brings you to the data settings).

specefics settings are:
Number as it should be dialed: #777
Username: phonenumber@1x.telusmobility.com
Password: ESN Number
Domain: TELUS

Hope this is more clear.

Re: Backup network settings

This might help. I use to use the Cricket one back when I was lazy and didn't want to manually edit my registry.

Re: Backup network settings

Thanks for the tip Cellfreak, but will the telus cab automatically find my phone number and my ESN and add them? Just not sure if it is safe to run carrier cabs... kind of a newb at this.

Re: Backup network settings

Normally the DCD cab will just put everything on the phone like it was a factory ROM. You still have to fill in the settings.
