Touch Pro battery fits in CDMA Diamond?

It's my impression that they're the same battery, HTC just made the cdma diamond case a bit bigger to fit it. True? It sure would make buying batteries easier and cheaper.

Re: Touch Pro battery fits in CDMA Diamond?

Yeah I looked at my co worker's TP battery and its the exact same battery. HTC didn't make the Diamond bigger to fit the battery in. The fit the batter to the CDMA Diamond because it gobles up more juice than the GSM diamond so they needed the larger battery

What gets me is that the TP didn't get the larger battery treatment, maybe a 1,600mah or 1,700mah battery instead of the 1,356mah that we get. It is a larger phone with more hardware.

Re: Touch Pro battery fits in CDMA Diamond?

The touch pro battery is 1350 & the diamond is 1340 they are the same size so it will fit in the diamond, I was just wondering if the extra 10 mah will hurt the diamond in anyway. Can someone that knows about mah/electrical let me know cause I want to buy one for my diamond.

If they're the same size and contact location, the mAh isn't an issue. (IIRC, there's a 3000 mAh battery available). Think of it like replacing a 15-gallon gas tank in a car with a 20-gallon tank - the engine won't care or even notice - it'll just run longer.

Sounds to me more like replacing a 15 gallon tank with a 15.11 gallon tank. True, the engine won't notice - but neither would the driver.

The whole point is that it fits... not that it has an extra 10mah. So has anyone successfully put one in their CDMA diamond?

Yes, its an arduous task of removing the battery cover, and putting the battery in, then putting the cover back on.

God speed if you should attempt this.
