Keeping screen from auto-unlocking?

New Diamond user here. I'm loving the device after the new ROMs which I've found to be MUCH improved over the shipped ROMs.

I just have one thing which I'm having a slight issue with.

Is there any way to keep the screen from unlocking from incoming texts and phone calls? I often find that I get a incoming text/call and the touch screen unlocks while its still in my pocket and I accidentally answer a call or have unwanted screen presses. It would be nice to be able to still have the screen locked during these events but have the option to unlock the screen via lock/power button or answer a call via hard keys only.
