Phone turns off on charger

The past 2 nights my phone has turned off and I have to push the soft reset button in the morning when I tried to turn it on. The charge light stayed on till I reset the phone. Has any one else had this issue?

I am using stock sprint rom

I haven't had this issue specifically but very similar. Twice today I've had to take my battery off to get my phone to come on. Also, twice today the screen just flashes on and off until I push the "start" button. I'm hoping a hard reset will fix this. I've had the phone for a couple weeks and am on the stock sprint ROM.
