is there anyway to change the text SFX to custom?

I've looked allaround and cant seem to find out how to do it. basically what I want to do is put my own custom SFX for the text message. I'vefound how to do it for the ringtones but no dice for the text. can someone help with this? any and all help would be much appreciated

Simple ... get yourself a sound file (WAV format) and save it in the \Windows directory.
Click START / Settings / Sound Notifications and select Notifications.
Scroll down to Messaging: New Text Message
Select any sound file you want to play.
Mine is a cash register sound. It's easily heard over other noises.

sprint stock rom will let u drop .mp3s into the /windows directory and set them as text notifications.
