"Automatic" Profile in WM6--how does it work?

All hail Helmi!

I posted this as a separate thread because this issue was losing visibility in the giant WM6 thread.

Has anyone figured out how to operate the "automatic" ringer profile in WM6 yet?

Thanks,

aa

Short answer: it doesn't. Not on that version of the home plugin anyway.

There is a newer version of it available which supposedly fixes the profile switching but so far it is not working on the Apache.

In the meantime I recommend not touching the profile tab (you can the registry or emunutz's Customizer app--found in the software forum here-- to remove that tab from the screen.

Thanks, L2C!

I'm actually happy with the profile tab, at least the ring/vib/off buttons work fine for me. I did surprise/screw myself with the auto button but now just leave it alone.

Has anyone had any trouble with Phoneweaver as a profile manager on WM6?

(I'm still on Helmi's 1.04 kitchen and have been extremely pleased with this little app. When I first started using it - BigJ or Colonel included a demo - it was kind of tricky to understand, but it's been very solid especially since the recent update.)

No problems with phoneweaver. I have phonealarm lite and decided to try the new version of PW. It worked pretty well and I have no complaints, but I still prefer the features of phonealarm over it.

What's not working when you install it?

My head...LOL.
Actually, there were some conflicts between the notifications in the settings applet and those in PhW, which confused me. I just had to learn how PhW worked so I could trust it and stay away from the native settings.
