Error 37 After WM6 Upgrade
I just upgraded to WM6 using the latest kitchen. Now I can't get my xv6700 to function as a tethered modem. I have turned off Activesync, data connection and direct push. I use wmodem, ensure USB is specified and press start. The I connect the phone to the USB and execute the CDMA USB Modem Dialer on my laptop. I am using the correct phone number, enter the password "vzw" and then click on "Dial". Connection and send data flash for a while then I get the Error 37 message.
This was working until the upgrade. I tried to do the *228 and was told by the disembodied voice that my phone could not be programmed at this time - and that I could contact customer service.
When I did the upgrade, I selected verizon as my carrier. Am I doing something wrong.
I also thought I would try internet sharing - but have had no luck on that one either. My company's laptop is Win 2000 - downloaded a driver but must not be doing it right, because I don't get anything when I try to use the browser. My research shows that sharing might be a lot slower than the wmodem way.
Any thoughts? Do I have to go back to WM5 to get this to work? I've been googling and havn't found anything relevant.
