Noobie: Which WM6 upgrade is for me?

Hello and sorry for the newbie questions but I am a little confused....

Is the .7 kitchen upgrade good or is the verizonguy edition for verizon users only?


Also do these updates automatically load up the verizon .cab files like Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2) and the other OS updates

also how do you downgrade the bootloader?

the kitchens are for all devices from all carriers. You get to choose your carrier upon creating the software you want to load using the BuildOS utility found in the kitchen download.

also, do a search for bootloader downgrade on the forum's search. you should be able to locate something.

I think my bootloader is v 1.00 because that is what it says when it is in bootloader mode (aka with no backlight so I have to put it up to a light in my room) screen saves USB at the top and 1.00 on the bottom

Go with the "clean and simple" until a more final kitchen release comes out (current one is problematic for some).

You wouldn't need to do anything to your bootloader version unless you previously upgraded to the Bell Mobility AKU 3.3. Rom or the very recent Verizon AKU 3.3.

Yes they load the necessary cabs you need for Verizon. So once you upgrade to one of these custom WM6 roms, make sure to hit the soft reset button if it tries to install customizations.

o okay that makes sense.....im going to run the newest wm5 kitchen until the wm6 becomes more stable

I been editing the registry and loading the thing with programs so it is not like this thing is foreign to me

I did upgrade to the newest verizon but it still says 1.00 so w/e.....does this also upgrade the radio and stuff too?

if u use a wm6 rom do programming modes work the same getting to them to reprogrammed to cricket?
