so this is some weird shit. I have been having problems where when people call i try to answer the fusic and noone is there. So i was sitting in ym empty classroom today and had a friend call me. I answered on the fousic, but noone was there, yet i heard his voice coming from somewhere. I look down on my desk and there is my mogul, projecting his voice. Apparently accepting the call on my fusic is activating my mogul? wtf?

hahahaha it reminds me of those movie clips where the guys at work w/ multiple phones and one of the phones starts ringing and he has to pic up all the phones 1 by 1 to c which one it is.. lol. But it would b pretty awesome if u could get this esn on both phones to work flauless.

I think this is the post people should be focusing on. Yeah, why not learn cloning it for educational purposes? But it doesn't change the fact it's illegal. Official documentation of the 1998 act can be found here http://www.ussc.gov/publicat/cloning.PDF

The argument that both phones are yours and you're not using for fraudulent activity still doesn't fly, IMHO, because the act itself of changing a phone serial's number to another is illegal.

Likelihood of getting nabbed or busted is probably unlikely on a larger network like Sprint or Verizon unless your phones are being used on two different towers, but I bet a smaller network like Cricket will flag or even temporarily cancel your service.

What we, the PPC community, should be focusing on are alternatives especially since cloning an ESN is still imperfect like the OP mentioned. A quick alternative is http://www.grandcentral.com/ which GIVES YOU one phone number that rings to all your phone numbers and a host of other features. For the longer run we should be pressuring our CDMA carriers to start using RUIM cards, which kind of work like SIM cards for GSM networks. It's not fair we pay just as much if not more than GSM subscribers and can't easily change handsets.

Talking imho

I think if Sprint were on the phone with you and you gave them an esn number, just let them tell u what kind of phone it is. Don't tell them what it is. Also, don't carry one in the store without knowing which on is showing up in the account.

The point you are all missing and tpmwr has discovered it that its not possible, the ESN generates a PN Long code and used in conjunction with the MDN allows you service, 2 PN long codes cannot reside on the same network. Basic RF.

yeah the problem is with the MSL you have to reload the MSL on the handset so they both have the same.. one the network locks on to the MSL to make sure..

I think it is time you guys switched to GSM. I have two sim cards from T-Mobile so I can use two phones. Not at once though cuz only one phone will receive the call. I use an old Nokia as backup in case my Hermes is out of batterypower.
