Exclamation Volume Woes: Help Me, ObiGeek, You're My Only Hope

I am having problem tweaking the sound on my Verizon 6800. It's not loud enough for me.

Things I've done:

- tried various AudioPara.csv
- did the InitVol registry hack
- tried 13K

99.9% of the time, I use a mini usb headset (like this). None of the above seems to have any effect on this volume.

I'm wondering if there is another AudioPara.csv line that needs to be modified...? I thought it'd be a category like PHONE_HEADSET_VOL1, _VOL2, etc., but those are FFFF in the "coarse" AudioPara I'm using.

Any more ideas? I can't get the volume in the mini usb headset to go any louder...is there something else I can try? thanks.

Any way to use an amplified set of headphones or a different set of headphones that might have a higher sensitivity or be more efficient?
