Incoming SMS from one contact flags high priority

So I've been tracking a rather odd issue related to I'm assuming contact entry. Happened on both my mogul and now the touch pro, so I know it's not the phone or rom in question. Here's the scoop.

Whenever I get a text message from one person on my contact list, it flags as high priority. Since I have voice command set to announce high priority messages (kind of helpful for work email stuff, so I'd prefer not to turn it off), those texts always get read, which is rather annoying. I first had in on my Mogul, then on the TP after I sync'd the contacts, which is why I'm thinking it's related to the contact entry itself, but there doesn't seem to be any flag for that, or anything set on this entry that's not on others.

I ran a couple of tests when I first flashed the TP to a custom rom and before I had sync'd contacts. At that point, the messages didn't flag, but as soon as I brought contacts in, they started flagging again. I also tried deleting the contact entry as well as the SMS thread after that, and the text still flagged as high priority, just showing the phone number it came from since there was no contact list entry for it. This is the part that really baffled me. We've double checked all the entries on his phone (BB Curve) and are certain it's not coming from that end, especially since they didn't flag on a fresh flash.

It seems pretty certain that it's related to the contact list entry, but not completely as the same thing happened without the entry.

Does anyone know if there's a setting or registry entry that controls that?
