Arrow A Prepaid Internet question

Bell offers mobile internet on prepaid plans, but not windows mobile internet. I have a 6700 that I know I can activate with them, but I want internet. They say they can't sell windows mobile phones for prepaid, but will activate mine because I already have it. The person I talked to had no idea if the regular internet plan would work. Is there a difference between the two or is it just another way to screw us over? Can I use the regular internet plan? If anyone has tried this on any carrior, please tell me if it worked.

Re: A Prepaid Internet question

There shouldn't be any difference. There isn't really a mobile internet or a windows mobile internet. The only "mobile" thing about the internet is the way some web pages are rendered on the phone. What you're paying for is the data to access to those web pages. The advantage to using Windows Mobile over a basic flip phone is that the rendering of the web page will more closely resemble what it looks like on your desktop pc. It'll use more data so that may be why they don't sell Windows Mobile phoens. I'd try it and see if it works. Most carriers offer a 30 day trial run so you can cancel your service if you don't like it, but I'm not a 100% about Bell.
