I don't know about the rest of you...but I check my signal strength by looking at the little signal indicator at the top of my today screen.

Hmmm...now that's a good question.

My answer is this: I would get off the plane, fire up the cell phone and look at the signal meter on my phone.

1 bar on the meter = hit the hotel pool and have a few drinks
2 bars on the meter = hit the hotel pool and have a few drinks
3 bars on the meter = hit the hotel pool and have a few drinks
4 bars on the meter =hit the hotel pool and have a few drinks...and call my friends to come join us!
