How to disable ActiveSync on ppc, NOT pc?

I am sick and tired of ActiveSync constantly re-opening itself on my Sprint Touch and it finally got to the point where I jumped on google and started searching for a way to kill it permanently, at least until you plug it into a PC. I hate how it sits there and works the processor when that extra couple mhz could be going towards something else and how it eats up RAM just sitting there.

Anyboy have any suggestions?
