Un zipping files

I have downloaded a couple of sets of icon that I can't get loaded into HTC home. Most files that I have downloaded have had a CAB installer within the files but these do not. I have tried extracting the files to the icon folder for HTC but unsure if extracting is considered unzipping.... such a noob. Can someone shoot me a line and help me out. Thanx.

Re: Un zipping files

Yes extracting is unxipping..however when you extract o he htc icon folder that will not make the icons appear in htc home alone..you have to change the name of the new icon to the name of the desired icon you want to replace..i.e if the existing icon name is blue icon..then you need to change the name of the icon that you extracted to blue icon...once you you do this you will get a popup message asking in you want to veride the existing icon..simply click yes and that will replace the existing icon with the original one..I reccomend backing up the original icons in case you want to revert back. Alson make sure the icon you extract is the same size and file format of the original one..hope this helps good luck..
