WMDC/ActiveSync Question -2 names for same PC?

I have a Verizon Touch Pro 2, Stock WM6.1 ROM, which syncs with a Vista Home Premium 64-bit Desktop. Everything generally working fine, although there are some odd Calendar quirks (see below).

I am now on my 3rd device due to some hardware problems with the first 2. After getting the 2nd device, I deleted the prior partnership. When I got my 3rd device last week, and set it up, it created a new partnership, and it works fine (with the Calendar exception noted above).

My question is that when I look at the ActiveSync settings for this partnership, for example Email and Calendar, both "Windows PC" and "Windows PC2" are listed, as WMDC seems to give my Desktop computer a different name for each device that it Syncs with, which seems a bit odd.

For the Calendar settings, both "Windows PC" and "Windows PC2" are checked, while for Email, only the original "Windows PC" is checked, with "Windows PC2" being unchecked.

Being somewhat OCD, I would like to clean this up, but also don't want to break the ActiveSync that is generally working well. So, what's the scoop here - why are 2 different names being shown for the same PC, and why do both appear on ActiveSync settings? Should I check only one of the boxes for ActiveSync for Calendar, email, etc.?

Interestingly, it only shows one Partnership now, while I expected two. The only thing I can figure is that I flashed the TP2 that I would be returning with the new WM6.5 ROM just to see the process of doing it, and check it out further to see if I would want to update the TP2 I'm keeping. After flashing, I didn't re-set up ActiveSync, so perhaps that explains it.

So, if anybody can provide some basic information on what's going on with the two PC entities, what the correct configuration should be, etc., that would be appreciated.

(Also, if anybody is interested, the Calendar Sync is a bit funky. I started a thread on the TP2 forum here, but never got any useful replies. It makes me wonder if the fact that ActiveSync shows both PC entries checked might have anything to do with this behavior.)
