Anything new for the Optimus?

Will the Optimus S get the 2.3 gingerbread update? I was just wondering if LG and Sprint still had Updates for it.

I regret getting the Optimus T. Battery life is soooo terrible.

Hopefully the new OS will correct this or not?

My battery life on the optimus S is good. Phone fully charged before my 12 hour shift...when I get home I have about 53 to 60% left. Phone calls, texting, surfing the web and looking for apps.

If I don't mess with it...just regular phone call, I have about 78 to 80% left after 12 hours. To me...that good compared to some other phones I have had.

Strange, I get great battery life. On a typical full charge with lite use I can actually go three days. Now with moderate use I get about what KingArthur gets.

Yep, I love the battery life of this phone.

I am very new to Android. I do have Bluetooth and Wifi OFF. Is there anything else I can check for?

wifi on helps me plus it depends alot on what your homescreen has on it like facebook/espn/ ect updating all day.

On my wife's phone, it's usually related to not getting good enough signal while at work.

I think this is the usual culprit. I believe the phone has to send out a signal (polling?) in its search for a usable tower. I could quickly drain my old TP2 if I left the radio on when I went down to our basement gym at work.
