Customizing Backlight/Display Settings

Here's the display and backlight settings I'm looking for. I may need a 3rd party app to accomplish this, so I'm open for recommendations.

While charging, I want the display to be on at full brightness and to never shut off or dim. I already have the preference set to "Stay awake".. gets me why they put that under Applications -> Development. That keeps the screen on, but it dims after a minute or so.

While on battery, I want the display to shut off after a minute and to be on auto-brightness.

I know there's widgets that will allow me to set or change my display settings, but I'd like it to be an automatic thing.

Any suggestions?

Re: Customizing Backlight/Display Settings

Using the control panel, you could do some simple settings, such as how long to dim and how long to shutdown the screen and sleep.

But to accomplish the task you describe, I think you have to install an app.

I heard an app named "Backlight Screen Control", make a search and see whether it would help you.
