Getting back apps

I have a HTC hero and i'm planing to upgrade to the HTC Evo, but i want to know if i will get back my paid apps when i do or will i have to buy them all over again.

You will not have to purchase them again. The system should recognize what you have, though it would do no harm to back them up on the card and make a list of them for the oh gosh thing.

One of the best backup/restore programs ive used is called AppBrain, you can sync all of your apps to it...in the rare occasion that the system doesnt automatically restore your backups you can reinstall itt log in and then it will automatically restore everything.

thanks for the appbrain info. i use app brain but didn't know about that feature. If I were to swap roms it would be nice to know I could install appbrain on new rom and it would install the apps I already have linked to it. Wonder if appAware does the same.
