Android 1.6... Whats really missing??

I know everyone wants the latest and greatest (yes. me included) but are some of us just wanting to keep up with Jones`s ??.. I bought my device knowing I had an older version, but liked the phone itself better....

Anyway, I have read on the differences till my eyes have bled and looked on a timetable for the older Motorola devices...My real question is, what can a 2.1 Droid device really do that mine cant at 1.6??.. And out of that, I wonder, what would I really use anyway?? Are those of us wanting the 2.1 just being selfish ??

The 1.5 and 1.6 devices worked well, and people have loved them until the newer 2.1 showed up on the scene... Im curious, if we do get 2.1 in Q3 but then Shadow shows up with 2.2 will people still be unhappy??

Which will be the Android benchmark and start the one year updates??

The upgrade is worth it! If you like 1.5 or 1.6, then you'll definitely like 2.1 and 2.2. 2.1 is fast and it's compatible with a lot of older apps and you can perform various new tasks with ease now. Now form what I've seen with 2.2, Froyo is a beast. IMO, if there's a new or custom ROM available for your device, test it out.
