Cellular South **Help Please**

Cellular South is a regional cellular provider located in the southeast US. On Dec. 2nd they made the Touch Diamond available for purchase. I picked up one as soon as it was available. I want to get into the ROM Flashing game like everyone else. Does anyone think there will be any resources available for someone using this lowly carrier? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am really enjoying the PPC Community and have the utmost respect for what you guys are doing. Thanks in advance!!

I'm in the same position as you on this one. Even though the CSouth Diamonds come with the most updated ROM that includes Quick GPS, etc., I would still like to cook up my own little masterpiece...

By the way Phocas, big shoutout to you from accross the bridge (you know OS is where its at

)

That is what's up!! Glad to see a fellow member of CSouth. Hopefully someone can come to our rescue and help us develop a carrier friendly ROM for Cell South. I was very curious if our ROM is based on the 1.93 update. I know our TouchFlo is a 1.35 variant. I will keep you posted on any help I am able to find.

hope to see more cellular south members. i recently flashed MIGHTYROM 4.8 with total success. i have been looking into a 6.5 beta based OS though

There are not many of us around. I have been lonely!!! Oh yeah I had great luck with Mighty ROM and FuFu 6.5 worked well. I have started cooking my own ROMs as of late. Good Luck!! The Cellular South stock rom is on the PPC Geeks FTP if you need to flash back. I was able to dump the stock from my diamond.

I used to be with CS but bailed for Alltel; anyhow you can use ANY ROM that is listed as 'generic' which means you can cook one with Calk's kitchen or use Might's ROM which is really popular around here.

You have plenty of options.

I have a cellular south user who has reported success with my rom, although I build and advertise it as a Sprint rom. Check it out if you like. Just hit the sig.

To be honest I am still on stock radio because I never have issues with it and don't have a shipped rom to flash. I only have the stock rom made from a dump of my phone. I have always wanted to try the Telus radio because almost everyone has great results with it. I wish we could get a shipped ROM and a carrier cab. I am trying to get with DCD to see if we can cook something up.
