? about Calender on home screen

I like my calender to open in Month mode. When I use the calender button on the home screen, it always flashes the month and goes to the day view. This is VERY annoying. I like the fact that the button is on the home screen, and would like to use it, if it would open to the view I want it to start in. I had flashed my wifes diamond , with juicy's 3.4(I think) and her calender button works like I would want it to. I have tried all the different ROM's and have a couple I like, but would like to know if this can be fixed, as the button doesn't work on the ROM's I like.

Cannot be changed in the default calendar. Yes, it is very annoying. To fix this I use a 3rd party calendar program (TouchCal is my favorite) and map that TF home screen button to TouchCal using a program called SSMAPA.
