Re: diamond dead?

IIRC, to unlock your Diamond, there was no running anything on your actual phone.

For me, I just connected it to my PC VIA active sync, then ran Diamond Unlocker.exe on the PC, and followed the steps.
I think you did it wrong bud....as for how to fix it, all I can suggest is trying a hard reset.
Hopefully that'll work out. How to do it is in the manual that came with the Diamond, I can't remember offhand, sorry.

Re: diamond Touch bricked?

After pulling the battery and putting it back in, try hard reset:

Hold down the Enter button (center button on 4 way) and the VolumeDown button. While holding these, press and hold the Power button on the top of the device.

Hold all three down for about 5 to 10 seconds, and if it works, you'll get a grey screen that asks if you want to restore to factory, press VolumeUp. Proceed from there.

If that doesn't happen / work, you may be in trouble.

Re: diamond Touch bricked?

Sorry, I'm clueless on this stuff too. However, I have read in other threads where people recommend microwaving the phone for 3 seconds and then seeing if the carrier will take it back (supposedly wipes out any evidence of flashing) ... the ethics of such an action are dubious, of course. I'm not recommending it, but that's what I've heard.
