HTC Hero for Verizon in november? With touch sensitive buttons.
http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/...n-in-november/
We just got a tip that the phone pictured in Eric Schmidt’s hands is actually Verizon’s version of the HTC Hero and it will be called the HTC Hero (not confirmed). As you can see, there’s a couple hardware modifications and one big one is that the buttons below the screen are, as we’re told, not physical, but touch-sensitive buttons. Look for it to drop in November on Big Red. UPDATE: We’ve doubled confirmed this — check for the HTC Hero (or a different name) in November on Verizon! P.S. We have been told “It’s awesome.”

Android might just end up being the next big thing apparently. The google app store is gaining ground on iTunes quickly as well. If they produce an Android handset that has the larger WVGA screen I might be sold. I still kinda hate to jump ship right now with WM making an effort finally. I'm anxious to see what Windows Phone 7 offers and how the MS app store grows.

I hope MS is reading the news headlines, and Ballmer better be lighting a fire under the WM7 development team. Everyday, he should be asking "is it done yet?", and if not, ask "Why the hell not?"

I can upgrade anytime now, but I hate to get into another 2 year contract with sooo many phones and software upgrades right around the corner. As hard as it is to keep waiting, I might just try to hold out till WM7 releases and see what it's all about.
