6.5 keyboard lag *myfix

well this worked for me and so far so good, hopefully it works for others.
Using a registry editor locate these and change the values accordingly,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd

"InitialDelay"=dword: dec 1

"RepeatRate"=dword: dec 1

i found the fix over at xda-developers, and edited the values to suit my needs. I called it myfix because it worked for me. I am not taking credit for the find, but I do take credit for finding the values that worked for me

Re: 6.5 keyboard lag *myfix

When you talk about lag, are you talking about the hard keyboard or the on-screen keyboard?

The hardware keyboard. The on screen keyboard (finger keybo 2.1) works flawlessly for me

With the ROM I'm using(juicy 7), whenever I'm writing a text, it'll just freeze. I don't know if this is the text menu or the keyboard that is freezing.

Re: 6.5 keyboard lag *myfix

I am using mighty mikes rom. But, I tried juicy's as well the lag is in every single rom! Also I upped the pagepool to 32 when installing any rom, I do not know if this helps but perhaps its a placebo effect for me! but I experience no locks ups.

the default on screen keyboard would freeze on me as well. So I have started to use finger keyboard 2.1. Works great.

Re: 6.5 keyboard lag *myfix

How can you call this *myfix when it seems like you took it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436795 that site and just changed the values to meet your needs?
