Recorder on 8525?!?!?

Just bought the cingular 8525, my boss has the Apache from sprint, he has a button that he can hold down and record voice messages.

I NEED THIS FUNCTION, anyone know of a thread or how-to to make this option availible on my phone?

I've read about this problem on other boards and have found a thread where somebody was able to get this to work. It involves creating a shortcut to MSVOICE. 1) The shortcut is to be placed in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs 2) The shortcut doesn't work if you try to launch it from Programs. Many people have had trouble with creating the shortcut correctly or they create a shortcut that calls hotvoice.exe which is also incorrect. I am attaching a cab that installs the correct shortcut in the proper place for you.

Install the CAB, Navigate to Start>Settings>Buttons then chose a button to modify and select Record from the drop down list, tap OK

Now test your modified button.

At first I didnt think it worked.. Then I realized it just didnt work with the push and hold on the PTT hack. IT WORKS YAY!!

i installed the recorder but for some reason dont open, i have to go to notes and use it from there, m i doing something wrong?
