HTC Loggers-Do you want it in your phone?
TrevE over at XDA over the past month or so has discovered and reported to HTC and recently the world about a security problem with HTC's recent addition of logging/reporting apks and services added to the 2.3.4 update of the Evo 3D and several other HTC devices. The problem is the "opt out" does not fully turn off the logging and the ability to report. He has provided an app to check and remove this on rooted devices.
For more information, have a look at these links. [DEV|APP] CIQ / HTC Checkin / Google Checkin / HTC loggers / Tell HTC Info & Removal - xda-developers 'Massive Security Vulnerability' in HTC Android Phones Claimed | PCWorld Carriers Take Cover – Privacy Notices Start Rolling Out (And A Note From The Portal Admin) | xda-developers Those should get you started. I personally don't want them accessing my personal information without my consent and have removed all loggers and CIQ reporting.
