Re: General Cab. file questions
Just a simple rundown of how it works.......
Basically a .cab file is like a .exe file for you desktop. installing cabs are very simple. just move the file over to your phone, ether storing it on the memory card (strongly suggested) or storing it on the phone it self. Once you have it on your phone or memory card you can use File explorer to go to where you have the file at. all you have to do to install it is click on the file and it will auto run. Most of the cabs will ask if you want to install on the main memory or the storage card. I almost exclusively install programs into the main memory as they will run faster that way instead of having to access the memory card to. Hopes this helps and have fun. |

Re: General Cab. file questions
sweet thanks for the respond!
yea see thats what I expected. But when I downloaded the file then extracted them I got a bunch of pages, and the setup icon was like a text document. I figured maybe the phone will read it differently so I dragged it over then i got the same thing but this time the setup icon was being open by my opera. to get more specific im trying to install - WVGA- background for all pages (first attempt) - Spikes Micro Neo Taskbar (second attempt) |

Re: General Cab. file questions
Don't extract it, run it "compressed" in the cab form on the phone. a cab is a exe but for phones...
