If not then I would re-check and make sure AGPS is enabled with at least a 32kb log file and your location is set to ON. Download and use QuickGPS if you don't have it already. If you have a gps radio and you are getting a decent signal it should work.

Re: No GPS when locked to EVDO
Yeah, I suppose. Or I may be seeing another carrier's 3G. I tried everything I can think of, but nothing works other than leaving it set to automatic and watching my battery die. So, whatever. I'm due for an upgrade, so either the Pro 2 or EVO is next, and I'll retire tne Vogue.

Re: No GPS when locked to EVDO
AGPS uses an EVDO signal when possible. and programs like Gmaps. will most likely require a EVDO signal.
As for your EPST setting set it to auto and in the phone setting menu change the mode of operations to hybrid. You can also check the following, your GPSone setting in QPST your IP could have changed, also check your SUPL AGPS ip in the registry. This of course all assumes that your phone strictly uses EVDO for all data, and 1X for talk and text.

Re: No GPS when locked to EVDO
The PRL change is what started all this. A couple of weeks ago I got auto-updated by Sprint. All of a sudden, my 1X started reading EV intermittently. Mostly when ending a call. So I decided to do the edit to force EV. Data works great. Yay. GPS, not so good. I switched back to auto and everything works, but the switching from EV to 1X is killing battery. I can save some battery if I switch off the data connection after use instead of leaving it idle. As I said before I'm looking to upgrade soon to either a TP2 or EVO so it's not a real issue and I imagine that Sprint's EV tower strength will get better in the near future.

Re: No GPS when locked to EVDO
Also, I have QuickGPS on my diamond which seems to help to get fast locks and I recently found a version that was posted for the Vogue here:

Re: No GPS when locked to EVDO
I'll try that. I updated the PRL to 60654 and it still doesn't GPS lock when in HDR only, but in automatic it works even better. I will have to see over the next few days as to impact on battery life...
