can someone make this into a file that can replace my start menu icon on a qvga touch vogue running winmo 6.5?

Whats the deal with the little highlight on the quick menu/ok/close icons? Can this be edited? I think its ugly. [at least the one on my phone is, if it was edited.]

Beats me. I haven't found it in the shellres dll either.

it is vga.

this is 1 of the tb im working on, its not 100%, coolsac was testing it (i dont have vga) and i havent been able to get a full report or requested dll from his rom. so go here for the download.

then if i can have you test it out checking whats stock still or what looks messed up and pls take a ss. (besides the start and X, OK icons, i know are stock, i will change those)(the ss you posted had coolsac's start and X icon) but w/ your help i'll be able to make it 100%, then ill need a final ss so i can update my post. thank you if you can do that, i appreciate it.

Nosy is good!

In WM 6.5 whenever you hit ok, x or the task manager, a verticle highlight appears just to the left of the icon.

i guess i never really noticed it, im on nfsfan v8 6.5. maybe the icons im using hide it sum!? i havent released my current tb, yet

on another note, wondering if i could get sum help. i cant get my signal icons to work. i edited the dll but no luck. is there any ideas to my problems, id appreciate any help

I've tried using a number of the custom taskbars (they're very nice), only to find that after a few soft resets, some of the custom icons disappear to be replaced by the stock. I've not been able to find an answer to this, other than it must have something to do with the custom rom being used. Can anyone shed more light on this? Is there a way of replacing the stock dlls with the custom so this isn't an issue?

The signal icons work differently in 6.5.

You have one icon file for the antenna icon, and the signal bars are rendered separately. Dig around in shellres, you'll see an antenna icon, and a set of signal bar icons without anything attached to them.

The signal icons start at 5092 in the shellres.192.dll, and go till 5096. Something interesting - there is 7-bar support there. I'm guessing there's a registry entry somewhere to enable it... but it wouldn't fit well as 5 bars barely fits before colliding with the speaker icon. I'm sure MS is still going to change this.

The only icons you need to change are:
4675 (antenna icon)
4676 (phone icon)
4941 (data connected)

I noticed after this though, that while in call, I was still on the old icons. So then, in phcanOverbmp.dll, change the following to the phone icon + signal bars:
68 (no bars)
155 (1 bar)
156 (2 bars)
157 (3 bars)
158 (4 bars)

There aren't icons present for 7-bar support in this file.
