Can you buy one copy of navigation and use it on two PDA phones?
Can you buy one copy of navigation (I'm thinking of Garmin Mobile or TomTom Navigator 7) and use it on two PDA phones (mine and my wife's)?
Or does some kind of mechanism prevent this?

You can use it on more than one but not at the same time. The sd card has to be moved from phone to phone. If you use google you might be able to find a way around this but it can not be discussed here.

I think they use serial numbers dependent on the SD card. To get around this is illegal to say the least.
