Goolge voce text messaging

I have sprint and have to pay $.20 per text message. Is there a way I can have someone text to my Google voice account and have it sent as an email to me?

sure go into settings at google voice and settings, then voicemail sms tab and select forward sms message to my email, save changes and you are done.
