stepchild,

I just grabbed Mundu from Handango and it's running great on my 6700 with Helmi_c's WM6 ROM. I can't verify other ROMs, but I think it's safe to say give it a shot. It's much more refined than IM+ and seems stable.

Nice app, especially since it's FREE!

non-smartphone users should definitely grab it and try it out.

It works on a PPC, but I have no signal at work. All I can get is Mundu telling me to connect to something. I can poke the retry button with the stylus, so I hope everything functions. I don't know how it reacts to landscape yet though.

EDIT: Here's a PCMag review:

wow...

this is the real deal...I remember tryin IM+ once before but didn't like it's interface (and price) that much. Since then ive been using Windows Live, which ran slow on my device. This Mundu Program takes the gold though. Touchscreen works fine on my 6700 like others have reported. Don't miss this chance! It expires Friday night!

The review by PC Mag of the Windows Mobile version doesn't sound to promising.
Is anyone having a similar experience as that of the author with the WM version?

Any luck in getting a signal yet?

I've been running Mundu for a couple of hours now and had the same problems with the yahoo protocol. While AIM worked fine, yahoo always failed to login successfully.

The last time I exited Mundu, I received an error message "internal error...". I thought nothing of it at the time. I now just soft-reset my phone and am hanging on the Windows Mobile boot screen! I can't say for certain if Mundu is the cause, but the phone was fine this morning.

All I can say is "proceed with caution", and that my earlier post where everything was alright may have been premature.

Thanks for the update.

I haven't installed and probably won't until I here better feedback.
