Help! Lost WM5 Info Bar

My PPC has been acting up lately. While trying to fix some of its problems (fiddling with the registry, deleting some apps that I thought might be responsible, and cleaning up using MemMaid), I lost the top bar (whatever it is calld) that has the Windows logo, the drop down menu, the time and the OK/X-button. I think I can still access my file managers, including registry, and tools (if I am lucky, since the device's response time has deterioratd with everything that is happening). Any idea how to fix this problem short of a hard reset?

Regards

Well I'd start with a soft reset and see if that doesn't do the trick. After that I think you're looking at a hard reset. I hope you made a back up before "fiddling with the registry".

late,
Coz

Thanks Coz. Of course I had tried a soft reset several times and it didn't do the trick. However, I was careless enough NOT to make a backup. The applications are not a problem, though. It's PIM data that I am concerned about. BTW, All of my backup programs give a choice of PIM, programs or both. But what if I wanted to backup only a program or two of my collection and forego the rest? Do you know of any utilities that can do that?

regards
