[APP] MyDVD Collection - A Barcorama companion app

Hey guys,

I'm delving into PPC development for the first time (have done other development in .NET but never for PPC). I'm creating an application called MyDVD Collection. It will be a handheld database for keeping track of DVDs/CDs/Console games. Now, what's going to make mine different is that I will design it to work in conjunction w/ Barcorama. Basically, you'll be able to set this program as the external executable which Barcorama passes its scanned barcode to. It will then check your collection to see if you already own it, give you the ability to add it if it does not exist, and will even pull information from the Internet about that item and auto fill.

What I'm looking for from you guys is some ideas on what kind of information you'd like the database to store about your DVDs/CDs/etc, and any other feature suggestions you may have.

title
genre
yr released

thats what would be most important to me...i have a 300+ dvd collection and that would help me out greatly especially in the event of a fire or robbery...

id be willing to donate a small amount if and when this gets released...great idea!

Just thought I'd use this thread to keep everyone interested apprised of the development process...

So far, I have the basic database structure defined and have the screen built to view the items in the database, as well as a way to filter that view. Next is to build the entry form for adding items, and a basic search function. I should have an alpha version that can be deployed by the end of the week. If anyone is interested in testing, please let me know

For anyone who's been looking forward to this, I apologize... that pesky application we all know and love, Real Life(TM), has taken the bulk of my attention lately

With the holiday weekend approaching, hopefully I'll have some down time to play with it and get a Beta testing version posted.
