Push Gmail Finally Here
Didn't see this mentioned on here yet so since I've been waiting forever for this I'm sure some others are as well. You can now have your Gmail pushed to your phone. It's the same way as the contacts and calendar setup under activesync, but now you can select email as well.

Man this is awesome.
Yes your data connection is on, but it isn't always actively downloading or exchanging data. Google pushes the email via Google Sync, which uses the exchange protocol, which essentially means that the only data being downloaded or exchanged is when the email server is pushing email

Quick Questions on setting this up. I should just select the email checkbox in activesync correct? And do I delete my IMAP account on my phone? If I have multiple gmail accounts, do I just add 2 sources in Activesync?

works great..just sync mail and nothing else..i tried contacts but i kept getting error codes
