I also started using ActiveSync for my Gmail account and I haven't noticed any loss in battery performance.

Question for those who have successfully implemented Gmail push. I am on a Sprint Touch Pro and my ActiveSync screens don't look anything like those shown in the Google setup instructions. Are their screen shots from a different version of WinMo, or am I missing something? Anyone have better directions for install on WinMo 6.1? Thx.

The screen shots are different. You enter your email address on the first screen. Then when you continue, it will start to look like the screenshots from google

Yeah I noticed a glitch in that too. Can't remember exactly what I did / was different but it's not too hard to figure out.

And it works very well! set mine to update 1/2 hour to save battery... sure enough right on time, works like a champ! This is very nice to have, and the new rom is working very well. Looks like winmo is picking up some of the slack ;)

it was simple and I love it... now I get my gvoice visual voicemail instantly I love it

OK I'm trying to set this up but I keep getting an error- "Your account in microsoft exchange does not have permission to synchronize......etc " with support code 0x85010004. Is anyone else getting this or am I just special?

FYI, a permission error means something you are trying to connect to is not properly setup. I had that issue with Calendar

I had the exact same issue, so i unchecked everything except email and it worked fine from there!

I'm not getting my attachments either. I had this set from the beginning, but I'm not even seeing the attachment icon on the message. It looks like WinMo has no idea there should be one.
