It's now called fullscreen edit and it's under the advanced menu.

JZ Smartmort apparently can make this the "default"

Needs to be updated for beta 2, but the author thinks he might have that update out tonight.

Re: Opera Mini 5 Beta 2

Fullscreen Edit Mode Locks up Mobile 5 Beta 2

I had the same problem in Beta 1 as well.

I have a Windows Mobile 6.1 Touch Pro.

If I'm in fullscreen edit mode, occasionally, Mini 5 seems to disable my softkeys so that I'm either unable to cancel my editing session or click ok to save it. I can still continue to type though.

Basically, I'm completely unable to get out of fullscreen edit mode and I have to terminate the application manually.

It happens on many different pages and doesn't always happen when I edit the same text box. I can edit the box once and it works and then the next time in the same box, I get the problem.

Can anyone else confirm?

Any possible solutions?

Or maybe even a workaround? If my softkeys aren't working, is there a key I can hit on my physical keyboard that might be equal to hitting the ok softkey?

I wonder if using a updated java might make a difference? I'm on Esmertec 20080912.5.1 now.

Thats the problem i have and was hoping they fixed. I guess i will be using their keyboard because the constant lockups when entering text was slightly more annoying than using this keyboard with tiny buttons. I have to use the stylus.

I'm in the same boat. Which esmertec are you using? I'm using Esmertec Jbed 20080912.5.1

Someone in the Opera forum is using Esmertec Jbed 20090216.5.1 and had the same problem in beta 1, though he says it didn't happen yet in beta 2, but it was shortly after it came out.

Re: Opera Mini 5 Beta 2

Hi, I am the guy you were talking to in the Opera forum Actually the problem you just described in this thread is EXACTLY the same problem I have on my Touch HD, running Jbed 20090217. It happens a lot if I use the fullscreen editing in Facebook -- usually in login/password field or status update. I can still type in the field but the soft keys to continue or cancel do not do anything.

Re: Opera Mini 5 Beta 2

Hey

So it's still happening to you on Beta 2 then, I guess?

I did file an official bug report with Beta 1.

I guess since we are on 2 different Jbeds, it's not that.

Is there a newer Jbed that supports VGA to even try?

I guess I'll just turn off fullscreen edit and use it that way. The only thing is that entering numbers on the hardware keyboard is weird that way and the JV Smartmort that makes Mini the "default" takes a lot longer to paste in the URL that way.

Still, this lockup issue is way worse and you just can't use it at all that way really.

Re: Opera Mini 5 Beta 2

It happens on both my Touch HD and Elfin with the same version of Jbed.
