I have the Sprint Treo 700wx & have been following every thread from TC to XDA forums regarding vTap but have no idea what could be wrong. I got the latest .cab file from their website 9/27/07. I get the plugin on my today screen & I have access to the vTap menu but as far as playing the vids,it loads to 100% then reverts me back to my today screen. I have zbop's solution installed as well & would prefer to have both apps. Also, where should I install,I have tried installing to my device memory & storage card? What am I doing wrong?

I work for Veveo Inc. who provide the vTap service. I beileve the problem you are encoutering with the playing of the clips is related to the tcpmp that you have installed. You need to make sure that you exit tcpmp before trying to play a clip within the vTap client (http://www.vtap.com/faq.html#rq7). I hope this helps. Also note on the storage card, that we do have a known problem when trying to install onto a storage card. The installation will happen to the devices main memory instead, but either way the application should function properly.

Works great now, but how do you get rid of the double Vtap icon in the program menu and in the drop down? Thanks..!!

great work vtap people, this release is even better than the first. it plays much smoother now buffereing only once even on long videos now. i love this app.

We are working on fixing the problem with the double entry in the program menu. In the mean time, you can manually remove the second icon. The steps are posted here: http://www.vtap.com/faq.html#rq11

ok so i downloaded vtap....
 

and im actually liking it...minimal battery usage and any video from yout tube and whatnot. never really was a big you tube fan i use it for more of the sports and music videos but everyone should def try it out...the video quality default is set to medium i think turn it up to high/crisp and it looks like landscape. just figured id send in a plug for it cuz im diggin it to this point...

Arrgh. I tried this and had very poor video quality. The video was more of a still image that might refresh every 5-10 seconds. I had 3-4 bars evdo and tried on WiFi -- both warrant the same results. I also checked to make sure all other apps were closed with no luck. Looks like a cool program...it just needs to play the videos it finds. :)

not sure where the issue lies for some users, but i've never had an issue running this app.
