Pandora for the PRE???

This is my first post on these boards but I usually come here for my fix every day and I would just like to say....Come on people....Why is it that the Pre, with was just released 2 weeks ago already has a dedicated Pandora Client App, and still....STILL....we here at the WinMo camp still don't have a decent clinted that works. With all the coders, developers and knowledge on these boards, here and at xda, it should have been figured out by now. And not only for Pandora, but for a lot of applications that have graced the likes of the iPhone, Android, and now the Pre. I feel more and more like we, the WinMo users are a laughing stock to the others who can simply download usefull apps without spending the time and having the knowledge to get the same results with a Windows Mobile phone. I know this sounds negative, but please know I love my Windows Mobile phone and would never part with it. It just seems that we are left in the dark a lot of the time having to figure out how to get things on our own...I guess it's in our nature...and that is why we do it.

Re: Pandora for the PRE???

Like I said..It works...sometimes, but it still looks goofy, and on my Touch Pro the song doesn't fully play all the way through...and my major point...We all have to jump through these hacking hoops to get it to "semi" work. Why?? Why can't they treat us with respect!!! ....uhhh..sorry

Re: Pandora for the PRE???

There are ways to get it running perfect..... That being said, this is a great post and a great complaint, And id like to know why myself, not just any regular winmo user knows fixes and reg edits etc..... so ya, it should be so simple as to download it and have it work......

Since you baited the hook I have to ask, I've been looking high and low for a fix or reg edit to get Pandora on my Omnia to play at a decent volume when played through my bluetooth car deck. The volume is maybe half of every other sound coming from my phone so if I crank my deck's volume up to hear Pandora, my speakers get blown when I get notified of an email or such. I've read many with the problem but no one with a fix. Did I miss the fix or reg edit in the Pandora thread?

Re: Pandora for the PRE???

Exactly!!!. Thank you.. So lets stop wasting time trying to port Android and focus that attention to usefully, good looking (hey there is nothing wrong with a little eye candy), and easily obtainable applications. If you want to use Android so much.....SWITCH TO T-MOBILE and BUY THE G-1 for gods sake!!!!

I'm talking about trying to get useful applications for us the most powerful Windows Mobile users...applications that weaker phones and platforms already have, not trying to emulate other platforms, like the Android Port or numerous iPhone skins and home screen plug-ins...I don't want the PRE, I just want useful programs to work for Windows Mobile.

Re: Pandora for the PRE???

Good point. What I don't understand is with Microsoft's resources, it seems like they should be able to grease the wheels to get this done. I mean Palm was almost bankrupt and they got a version. If Microsoft really cares about this platform, they need to start building a stable of solid apps now not after win 7 (whenever that will come).

BTW. Pandora is the only app that I really envy Iphone users for. My son is getting a pre. If that is any good I may jump ship. The funny thing is that I left palm to go to winmo because Palm had lost all it's developer support. Maybe I am the problem.
