FM Transmitter program
Hey guys, I recently saw my friend play his cellphone through his radio w/o wires or adapters. He said it is a program that he had on his phone. Of course it was not a Treo wx or a PPC for that matter. I really don't remember what type phone but it wasn't one from here. Anyway, anybody know of an FM Transmitter hack or program that could be used with our phones? Any help would be useful.
PS I will also post this in the Treo wx forum for us treoheads!! PM me if you know of one that is superb |
Chances are his phone was a LG Fusic or LG Musiq. FM Transmitters are hardware, so if your phone doesn't have one software can't emulate it.
|
So does that mean I have to buy one? Damn................! That would have been a cool app. But hey, they hacked MusicID so I am not giving up. I am sure someone can do this. Maybe one of our Mortscript geniuses.

no one can unless you add a FM transmitter to the phone. You might as well stream music from many of the sites that are out there. search adn you will find a PIE site

Right, but to broadcast your sound from your phone you need a radio (hardware) built into the phone or added on to your phone. No software is capable of generating an FM frequency and subsequently broadcasting that frequency without any hardware.

Your phone has bluetooth... lots of car stereos are bluetooth compatible and the main stereo unit in car is really not that expensive.
