either that or buy a 3.5 adapter and a fm transmitter for your car...... all the really good ones are huge tho

FM Car transmitters all transmit in mono though from what I understand. You won't get great sound quality unless you actually upgrade your car stereo with an ext input.

That is fantastic, but you still need a way to transmit FM.

Your other option is to get one of those Tape deck things with the headphone wire. get the converter and plug it into your phone, it will sound like crap, but can work.

They're as likely to pull it off as they are to write an app that toasts bagels. If you haven't a toaster, no computer program is going to help you out. You'd need to buy an FM transmitter, which isn't a big deal since pretty much everyone that bought an iPod has one.

Isn't auxiliary input the best way to hook up your PPC to your car's stereo system?

Yes.
If you've got a stereo that cost more than $100, chances are it has an aux input in the back. You can check by pressing the mode buttons on your stereo. If one of the modes is "Input, Aux, MP3, External," or anything similar, it's got the input.
Buy a 3.5mm to component (2.5mm to component cable would be better but incredibly hard to find) and a 2.5-3.5mm adapter. Pull your stereo out, plug the component cable in and coil it through your glovebox or something. Attach the standard headphone jack to th phone through the adapter. Make sure you test it out before putting the stereo back in. You may get just noise in one channel- fix it by unplugging that component and setting your stereo to "mono."

Here's an adapter if you want good quality sound. I'm thinking of actually getting this instead of an FM transmitter >>

The page is specific to Chevy Cavalier but you can change the model/make

Here are some good and cheap FM transmitters:

The top of the line one has an SD slot so you can play mp3's or WMA's just by inserting your card.

Yeah, pretty much. If the Mogul doesn't have an FM modulator built in (which it doesn't), then no software can do this.
