i've cabbed up the SharePix files as well as added a shortcut to run from the start menu.

app seems a little slow/buggy at times, but seems to work alright.

*updated .cab, version 2 is working great now :headbang:

ok so i've only tried the updated one, but it crashes when i hit the menu button (right softkey). i haven't been able to test out functionality yet because i was at work and now i'm on the bus. don't want people to think i'm crazy singing into my phone.

Yeah, menu isn't supposed to work... on any versions. I still don't know what functions are in there though...
The main thing is that hum/sing/play song to id works fine.

Yup, works great....

Now someone needs to port over the Calendar application properly. That's the one I'm really waiting for. The stock/default Windows CE/Mobile Calendar application is really outdated an lacking...

I'm sure you've already heard about it, but have you tried thumbcal? That's my favorite calendar replacement and it's as finger friendly as you'll get... I doubt the omnia ii calendar matches it.

I couldn't get anything to work with it. I tried the humming, I tried holding it up to speakers; all yield the same results. It can't find a suggestion, and then it crashes.

I've done the edits as well.

Do you listen to an obscure genre of music?
I can see some people having trouble with humming songs because everyone does so differently... check out this video and see if you can replicate results with humming that song, just to make sure it's working. Then again, even if i mess up humming, it always suggests a bunch of songs. You no longer get the network error message, right?

I'm thinking it's more of a compatibility issue because you're not getting a network error and aren't getting suggestions. Can anyone confirm any problems with the Touch?
Songs played over the radio or a media player should be picked up and identified easily. I think i've had it ID about 15 straight songs heard over the radio so far.

BTW, which cab did you install the one attached to the original post or one of the two links to other posts?

A lot of what I listen to I could honestly see the program having issues with, but what I used as a test was top 40 stuff. I don't get the network error, it just can't find a song, and then freezes and crashes. I've tried both of the cabs (the original with the manual reg. edits, and the updated one with the edits built in). I'll try giving it another go today and report my results.

edit: Ok, so i installed it again (the reg edit version) and ran it. singing/humming yields results, but not the correct ones. Granted, i only half heartedly hummed, so i'm sure if i tried, it would give better results, however, the "grab mode" gives nothing. it can't find anything. Oddly enough, when it records the sample, it only gets to 5 on the timer and then tried searching. it never gets to the full 10 seconds before searching. anyone else w/ a Touch notice this or having this issue?

/\ yeah, something's definitely not right. It should search more than 5 secs for grab mode. I'd suggest asking people in the vogue/touch forum if they have this issue. I think you're the only person i've come across with these types of problems. I haven't heard of the program crashing either, unless the menu key is hit. Have you tried over wifi? Probably same results, huh? Hope you figure it out.
