Strangely enough, MyPhone is the first application, besides ActiveSync subsription), that I didn't have this problem with. Both Flexilis and Dashwire would give me 5x of every contact I had, regardless of the DELETE status, (with those apps, I had to delete it both on my phone and the online interface, while with MyPhone, I only need to select one source to delete from, and they automatically sync at midnight).

If the only issue with Flexilis would have been that, I could have lived with it, but it was never able to OTA sync with my phone, and doing location finds, (when the phone is in my pocket and I knew exactly where it was, wouldn't produce anything, and "sound alarm" didn't do anything either. Flexilis's concept is sound, but the actual implementation is utterly useless. For my archival needs, I'll either use MyPhone combined with pull IMAP email, or ActiveSync. Dashwire and Flexilis are good concepts, but they are too damned buggy for what I demand. Unfortunately, the only free option that is actually worth a damn is MyPhone. Everything else I have tried has proven worthless.

Re: What ever happened to Dashwire?

You can restore *.vol files manually. Just copy the ones you want to keep to an external medium, (HDD or flash card), and once you need to restore them, change the existing *.vol files to have the extenstion of *.bak, copy over the *.vol files you have archived back to the root of your device, and soft-reset. After your phone has restarted, delete the *.bak files, and reset once again. Your phone will now have all data that was there prior to the event that necessitated a restoration in the first place.
